Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift

Ridgewood is a subdivision of Ameriwood Home, a division of the Dorel Home segment of Dorel Industries, who specializes in domestically manufactured and imported RTA furniture sold through the brick & mortar sales channel throughout the United States and Canada. For our Cornwall facility, we are searching for a:

Forklift Operator 

(3rd Shift - 11:00PM - 7:30AM)

$21.20/hr. plus $2.00/hr. shift premium

Job Summary:

• Moving material at a fast pace as per production needs.
• Coordinate with Supervisor and Lead hand on the locations and status of material.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of the vehicle.
• Completes load tags, tally sheets and production reporting forms.
• Conduct periodic inventory of raw materials or finished goods.
• Help train and guide new employees with the proper operation of the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle by completing daily circle check.

• Perform other related tasks.

Requirements:

• Obtain a passing grade on a written and practical test.

• Acquire and maintain forklift certification.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg.
• Able to distinguish colors and small details.
• Position requires continuous standing, bending, and walking.
• Basic computer skills, able to use the Orca scan software and familiarity with the use of tablets or scan guns.
