Job Summary:

The Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in providing strategic pricing insights aligned with our products and sales strategy. This position involves conducting comprehensive market research, analyzing data, and developing actionable insights into market trends and pricing strategies. The Pricing Analyst will maintain a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate pricing effectiveness, guiding pricing decisions. The role requires a high degree of autonomy and expertise, with opportunities for leadership within the workgroup.

 

Essential functions: 

 

  1. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive pricing strategies, and customer behavior.
    • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for pricing strategies.
  2. Database Management:
    • Maintain a comprehensive database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate pricing effectiveness over time.
    • Utilize data to make informed pricing decisions and recommendations.
  3. Tool Coordination and Reporting:
    • Coordinate pricing tools and systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
    • Generate reports and communications that provide relevant pricing insights and respond promptly to market changes.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Management, and Finance, to align pricing strategies with business goals.
    • Communicate pricing recommendations and strategies effectively to stakeholders.
  5. Autonomous Work and Expertise:
    • Work autonomously to analyze complex pricing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
    • Utilize expertise to provide leadership within the workgroup and contribute to the team's success.
  6. Project Management:
    • Take the lead on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues that require state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge.
    • Set and achieve project goals, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

  

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

             

  • Demonstrated experience of 2-5 years in pricing analysis or a related field.
  • Expertise in market research, data analysis, and pricing strategies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing pricing tools and managing databases.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in pricing models.
  • Proven ability to work independently and provide leadership in specialized areas.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MySQL, shell scripting, and Power Query.
  • Expert knowledge in developing data visualization using tools like Power BI, Excel, and Google Sheets, including dynamic dashboards.
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling.
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources using Excel formulas and functions, as well as PivotTables.

 

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
