A Physical Security Engineer will have the education and/or experience to review project quoted materials and scopes of work to create an internal process and installation guides to successfully setup, program and troubleshoot materials for our customers and operational teams. This position will interact with internal departments and external vendors to manage Burglar Alarm, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control systems and EAS installation and service projects. This individual will be asked to provide level 2 support to internal team members or subcontractors regarding equipment.
Essential Functions

- Coordinate the initial installations for new customers/projects. This includes working with operational staff, sales, or the customer to obtain all information needed to properly program and setup all equipment. Assist in documentation of the scope of work and any programming of equipment needed. This includes programming any devices to help streamline the process going forward.
- Review scopes of work and programming expectations and will provide feedback to sales and installation departments. Provide technical support to customers, subcontractors, and internal employees. Provide backup support to other team members in CCTV, Access Control, Mechanical Hardware, and monitoring functions.
- Ability to resolve project issues quickly and efficiently and communicate not only the problem but also a resolution to all required parties. Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication to General Contractors, Customers, and Field Technicians and to Internal Departments.
- Understands all aspects of customer account base including but not limited to CCTV, Access Control, Alarm and EAS.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
- At least 1 year ofexperience with hardware and security related products
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screens

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Computer skills especially Microsoft Office products
- Experienced in training and developing entry level employees
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills both verbal and in writing, good mathematical skills

Physical Demands
Must be able to stand on feet for several hours at a time and be up and down between a counter work area and a desk. Ability to lift to 75 pounds and ability to work in conditioned areas and unconditioned (warehouse) areas.

Work Environment
Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting and use of other power tools. May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
