Driver

Summary 

​​Delivers materials to job site, inspects and maintain truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials.  Not a CDL driver but may require some certification depending on state law.​ 

Essential Functions 

• ​​Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) 

• ​Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery 

• ​Deliver materials to the job site 

• ​Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures 

• ​Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed 

• ​Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization 

• ​Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers 

• ​Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment 

• ​Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations 

• ​Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations 

• ​Load finished product onto truck 

• ​Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager regarding the warehouse or deliveries 

• ​Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders 

• ​Other relative duties as assigned​ 

Minimum Qualifications 

• ​​Minimum Education – High School diploma or GED 

• ​Forklift certification preferred  

• ​Clean driving record and current operator’s license 

• ​At least 21years of age to drive for the company​ 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• ​​Experience driving trucks for delivery  

• ​Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware preferred 

• ​Good communication skills– Proper use of company issued devices  

• ​Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms 

• ​Ability to work closely & cordially with other staff associates​ 

Physical Demands 

​​Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day.  Ability to lift 5-50 pounds frequently.​ 

Work Environment  

​​Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.​
