Sales Representative (Windows)

Summary

This is a professional sales position for Commercial Windows, Aluminum Storefront and Curtainwall products.

*This is a salary plus commission opportunity.*

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with owners, general contractors and Architects to assist in project development; manage a marketing plan for Commercial Windows, Aluminum Storefront and Curtainwall product(s).
• Follow up on quoted projects and new opportunities.
• Develop project budgets including detailed estimates and written proposals.
• Bid new construction projects private and public from construction documents.

• Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience 
• Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
• At least 0 years of experience in similar position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to understand and utilize architectural / engineering drawings, contract and specification documents.
• Extensive knowledge of the Commercial Window Industry including materials and methods, product knowledge, field installation and application experience.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials and market conditions is essential.
• Specific product knowledge in the following categories:

Aluminum, Clad Wood, Fiberglass and Vinyl Window Systems

Aluminum Storefront and Curtainwall

Aluminum, Fiberglass, Clad Wood Door Systems

Unit and Fabricated Skylite Systems

Glass and Glazing

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative work style including comprehensive written proposals and estimates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail
• Budgeting and Estimating
• Proposal and Estimate follow up
• Experience in project management or field supervision is desirable.

Work Environment  

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites.
