Position Overview

 

The Event Coordinator is responsible for executing product sampling, giveaways, and promoting Community Coffee at both indoor and outdoor branded events. Reporting to the Marketing Partnerships & Events Project Manager, this role serves as a representative of the Community Coffee brand at key events such as sporting events, customer grand openings, trade shows, disaster recovery initiatives, VIP gatherings, and more.

 

The Event Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth event execution by managing workflows, scheduling assignments, monitoring project progress, and providing updates to management. Serving as the on-site "team lead," this role oversees event operations, ensures the success of each activation, and handles select administrative tasks within the office.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

 

  • Acts as a passionate and effective Community Coffee Brand Ambassador at all times.
  • Supports Events & Sponsorships activation elements at all events; recommends continuous improvements to processes.
  • Communicates with Events & Sponsorships on-site activations partners regularly to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Periodically responsible for driving activation vehicles (cargo vans, mobile café, etc.).
  • Responsible for working alongside marketing partnerships & events project manager on event coordination, booking travel, and executing core events.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do execute events.
  • Researches and provides feedback on event merchandise development.
  • Assists with creation of monthly scorecard to communicate ROI, media value, leads and new business gained via sponsorships and events.
  • Increasing engagement in core markets through activations 
  • Supporting sales initiatives by engaging customer appreciation
  • Increasing #of cups served annually
  • Driving super fans to purchase community coffee through product sampling
  • Various administrative duties as needed.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

Position Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related discipline preferred or will consider experience in lieu of education
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • DOT medical certification required upon hire.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • The individual in this role will be expected to travel for activations as needed and execute local activations that often fall outside normal business hours (evening events or weekend events)
