CNC Programmer

Join our team as a CNC Programmer and make an immediate impact on Aerospace and Industrial gas turbine systems by ensuring seamless operations, optimizing processes and products for NPI, Repair, and OEM businesses, leading projects that deliver new designs and repairs, and using Lean tools to enhance business metrics. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:

• Develop CNC programs from part drawings or CAD models.
• Assist in designing fixtures and tools for program implementation.
• Upload and validate programs on various machining centers.
• Generate “first article” prototypes for process validation.
• Address machining discrepancies and revise CNC programs for efficiency.
• Create and maintain internal procedures for shop personnel.
• Create 3D models from blueprints for CNC programming.
• Assist with production issues, design changes, and cost analysis.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
• Download newly created or revised programs on various machining centers such as 3,4 or 5-axis mills, turning centers, lathes, mill/turn, EDM, etc. and prove out accuracy of the program.

Education & Experience:

• BS in Engineering or equivalent CNC Programming experience
• 3+ years of experience in the Aerospace or Power Generation Industry. Significant experience in CNC machine programming, preferably using GibbsCAM or Siemens NX programming language.
• Experience of machining, methods, materials, and process for optimizing tool life and part precision.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in the metal mechanic industry
• Knowledge of various measuring techniques including CMM, white-light/laser scanning, and gages
• Interpretation of GD&T, engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
• Thoughtful and effective communications skills
• Team player with an ownership mentality
