Operations - Sr Supervisor, Production

Position Summary

Ensure the repair of products to the highest quality standards and ensure compliance to all policies and regulations.  Being a Production Senior Supervisor monitors production activity, identifies process problems, troubleshoots causes and develops solutions. Suggests improvements to improve efficiencies or safety. Additionally, Production Senior Supervisor delivers or coordinates staff training and on-boards new staff.

Duties:

1. Identify customer requirements to deliver the right products at the right time.
2. Be responsive & flexible to customer demands.
3. Achieve & exceed the product cost goals.
4. Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining Good Manufacturing. 
5. Practices at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
6. Enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the production line/area cross-functional team.
7. Ensure effective two-way communication within the production line/area cross-functional team
8. Manage, motivate, develop and involve product builders through coaching and performance management.
9. Foster teamwork within the production line/area cross-functional team
10. Embed the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors.
11. Ensure all resources are in place to achieve production commitments.
12. Product Builders, Equipment, Core Team, Line Support, Space, etc.
13. Ensure product builder training is effective & efficient.
14. Ensure appropriate flexibility & versatility in the production line/area.
15. Complete leader standard work to ensure line to standard or escalate appropriately.
16. Achieve continuous improvement goals (safety, quality, service, cost, space, etc.) through the utilization of the Business Essentials & operational excellence techniques.
17. Certain other activities or responsibilities inherent to the position.

The marginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals) for this position are:

• Audits
• Kaizen events

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
• More than 3 years experience as Sr. Production Supervisor, Production planning, ERP experience within the aerospace or metal industries. 
• Skills in the use of Microsoft office. 
• Effective communication
• Must possess effective collaboration skills to motivate and influence others , act as a change agent.
• Knowledge in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Principles. 
• Result Oriented, Self Motivated, Analytical. 
• Leadership
• English (80% written and spoken).
• Knowledge: Supervision of personnel.
• Decisions Making.
• Valid US Visa.
• Willingness to Travel

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position reports to Operations Lead and has around 60-80 DL reporting directly and indirectly, through cell leaders.
