POSITION SUMMARY: Proficient in TIG Welding inside and outside of an inert chamber. Responsible for performing welding operations in accordance with manufacturing specifications.

- Ability to use, read and interpret precision measuring equipment is required;
- Strong communication skills; able to interact at all levels;
- Good computer skills.
- Must follow production specifications in regard to assembly of new manufactured parts.
- Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards.
- Use of tracking systems
- Maintain and promote “One Chromalloy” Core Values
- Maintain and promote 5S standards in the work area
- Adhere to and promote Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
The specific EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE requirements of this position are:
- Able to read/write in English
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completed a TIG welding program or equivalent experience.
The specific LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS required for this position are:
- Ability to be certified to AWS-D171:2001
- Must pass applicable vision test if required
The specific SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE required for this position are:
LEVEL 1:
- Perform basic equipment set up and configuration
- Identify the proper tools to be used for each job
- Run basic welding functions
- Read and understand welding specifications
- Must be able to verify dimensions and alignment with measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and gauge blocks.
- Must be able to read and understand sketches and description of parts to be worked on or replaced.
LEVEL 2:
- All level 1 tasks plus below
- Must be able to perform 3 unique builds/repairs
- Do basic Trouble Shooting
- Determine if Issue (Mechanical or Engineering)
- Load and perform simple edits of program if required
- Efficient time management to operate multiple equipment simultaneously
