Metal Worker - 1st shift
- Employed in current position at least nine (9) months. For promotion, must be in current position at least twelve (12) months.
- Written confirmation of acceptable performance record/evaluation signed by the employee's supervisor and completed no more than 18 months prior to date of transfer application.
- Maintain an acceptable level of performance including but not limited to absence of corrective action and/or resolution of previous corrective action.
- Successfully pass any special screening processes required for the position of interest, including but not limited to background investigations, drug screens, and skills assessments.
- A transferred employee may be subject to additional background screening as required by the position.

SUMMARY:
The Metal Worker is responsible for assisting in the repair process and production of manufactured parts of exceptional quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the repair process and production of manufactured parts of exceptional quality.
- Blend surfaces and apply or remove excess material with hand tools or machinery.
- Set up and use various machines, fixtures, and tools.
- Modify parts to specifications.
- Mix production materials.
- Follow production specifications to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Embrace and implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities.
- Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Manual (QCM).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years relevant experience in manufacturing
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous metal working experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Proficiency in using handheld measuring tools.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
