Crane Operator - Turnaround

Position Summary

The Crane Operator will operate various types of cranes and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of crane operations. This includes measuring and calculating load dimensions and weights, including rigging, and ensuring the operation does not exceed crane manufacturer’s load charts or site safety factors.

NOTE: This opportunity is to source candidates for potential upcoming work in the Plaquemine, Louisiana area. We anticipate multiple turnarounds throughout 2025, with the first one beginning in mid-January.

Primary Responsibilities

• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load
• Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• May attach load to hook or another crane accessory prior to operating crane

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial crane experience
• Crane operator certification - NCCCO TLL and TSS or NCCER Equivalent (Required)
• Fixed Cab Crane experience - Broderson, Grove, Dresser, Gallon
• Swing Cab Crane experience - Tadano, Terex, Grove - up to 100 Ton
