Position Summary
Manages all on-site construction functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accountable for overall safety performance of site capital team; ensuring subordinate leader’s teams are complying with established safety policies and procedures, while developing a positive safety culture through CAM’s Core Values of People, Relationships, and Growth.
- Supervises all CAM personnel at the site through subordinate leaders
- Manages project indirect overhead and direct field labor budgets
- Assists with the development of annual site budgets
- Accountable for supporting constructability and construction planning during engineering phase
- Accountable for overall management and coordination of construction for site capital projects to maximize productivity and maintain schedule
- Supports the development of contingency and recovery plans as required
- Accountable for oversite of site capital team’s equipment performance and utilization; providing continuous improvement input and strategy development.
- Requires knowledge of construction techniques/processes to develop strategies for managing and improving overall safety, quality, and efficiency of execution for capital projects.
- Leads site capital team in developing solutions to complex problems that require a significant degree of innovation and ingenuity.
- Manages all on-site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Company.
- Functions as site liaison between CAM site capital team and multiple client project managers, engineering, construction leads, and other contractors.
- Oversight of General Contractor’s Subcontractors
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years’ experience as a Construction Manager in a construction organization
- BS or MS degree is preferred or Project Management certification (PMP)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
- Ability to travel to support mob in/out work
- IRATA / SPRAT Level 1 or 2 or 3 certification, preferred
- Must have a capacity for work at heights
- Maintains proficiency at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level.
- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to the IRAT/SPRAT standards and practices
- Ensures team members utilize proper personal protective equipment
- Displays a healthy respect for heights and follows all OSHA, site specific and company's safety procedures
- Participates in required training and maintains a working understanding of rope access safe working practices
- Inspects and verifies rope access systems and components before use
- Recognizes worksite hazards and notifies the team, safety of any unsafe conditions, works to correct unsafe conditions before continuing work
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, respirators, etc.)
