Building/ Facilities Maintenance - Handyman

Position Summary

Primary responsibility is to assist the facility operations team and be able to respond to miscellaneous facility service requests, including but not limited to:

• Simple patch and paint needs, office assistance request (picture, TV, whiteboard hanging), assist minor concrete repair work, assist with minor plumbing repairs, assist with facility PM activities, routine system filter changes, emergency response assistance, etc.…

Primary Responsibilities 

Plan, schedule and perform service request throughout the facility.

Communicate, coordinate, and respond to requests in the FMI system.

Assist with troubleshooting, repairs and safety preparations to all facility platforms to assure a safe work area and support business continuity.

Comply with and enforce all safety requirements.

Document service records as needed and directed for internal inspections and compliance audits.

Qualifications

Able to read/follow basic schematics and mechanical drawings.

Ability to comprehend and comply with documents such as safety rules/regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Able to organize work and meet deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in customer service and/or professional commercial environment.

Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (up to 50 pounds), climb stairs/ladders daily. Communicate with management and team members fluently and effectively.
