Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Setting-up of project requirements and project files.
  • Write project specific Work Instructions and write section for PEP.
  • Interface with Procurement, Construction and Project Management.
  • Produce weekly reports.
  • Attend meetings related to project and department.
  • Process Engineering Documentation.
  • Track Client reviewed documentation.
  • Receive and log in client standards and documentation.
  • Vendor drawing coordination routings.
  • Distributing workload.
  • Training and supervising document control staff.
  • Document controller and department responsibilities as required.
  • Compiling and assembly of Vendor Equipment Data Manuals.
  • Reconciliation of Client systems. CAM’s systems and archiving of project originals.
  • Defining staffing roles and responsibilities.
  • Creating and maintaining a team atmosphere.
  • Participating in the evaluation of document control staff.
  • Providing advice to the department supervisor regarding training.
  • Recommendations on methods and techniques for improving quality, productivity and deadline schedules.
  • Forecasting of manhours and staffing plans.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of document control experience.  Basic engineering technology and ability to read and understand drawings and documentation is essential.
  • Computer skill sets (Lotus, Adobe, Word and Excel).
