The Breakdown:
We are currently looking to hire a Temporary Partnerships and Sponsorships Assistant to support our team in managing and executing sponsorships and partnerships for Burton. This position will involve assisting with the planning, coordination, and administration of partnership opportunities that drive revenue, validate our brand purpose, meet business objectives, and create mutually beneficial relationships with external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who enjoys networking and building relationships, and the ideal candidate will be highly organized, an excellent communicator, and have a passion for supporting strategic brand relationships that align with Burton.
This role will report to the Partnerships and Sponsorships Strategist and work closely with cross-functional marketing peers.
What You Get to Do:
• Work closely with the Partnerships and Sponsorships Strategist to support new and existing partnerships.
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, such as updating deal points, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and assisting with ongoing communication between internal teams and partners.
• Serve as a secondary point of contact for partners and sponsors, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and requests.
• Facilitate the approval process for partners and sponsors for creative projects.
• Keep track of deal points and organize deliverables, reporting status updates back to the Partnerships and Sponsorships Strategist.
• Help coordinate logistics related to event and content activations with partners on Burton led projects (activations, media projects, events, campaigns, etc.).
• Assist with operational needs for Burton sponsored events and content activations (for example: on-site presence details, marketing integration, and product assets).
• Conduct research to identify potential partnerships and sponsorships opportunities.
• Placing product orders.
• Take minutes in meetings and recap to teams.
• Assist with booking travel and supporting with logistics at events, trips, etc.
• Assisting with invoicing and collection of fees.
• Update pitch decks, forecasts, and recap reports for partners.
What You'll Bring to The Team:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in marketing, managing client relations and/or customer service
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude, with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Professional and enthusiastic demeanor, with the ability to represent Burton positively to external partners.
• Goal oriented and proactive
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple on-going projects at the same time and prioritize deadlines
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including a strong command of Excel and Power Point
• Sincere interest in action sports and/or the outdoor industry, and interest in building professional relationships and contributing to team goals
This role is based out of our HQ is in Burlington, Vermont.
