Position Summary:

The Training and Education Programs Manager will be primarily responsible for driving and supporting a broad range of training programs and educational activities, including identification of training opportunities and co-ordination of projects to support medical education of Atrial Fibrillation & Pain management and its products, for internal & external stakeholders (Cardiac Surgeons, Electrophysiologists, Thoracic Surgeons).

What will you be doing?

  • Implement policies, procedures, practices, and strategy for achieving comprehensive Training programs for AtriCure Therapies for both internal employees and external customers.
  • In the first phase, this role will focus primarily on internal employees training programs to start with – new hire training, refresher trainings, new product launches and other new initiatives launched (E- Quiz, Journal Club etc)
  • During the second phase, there will be additional responsibility for implementing and monitoring education programs for different HCP stakeholders (Cardiac Surgeons, EP’s, Thoracic Surgeons, OR nurses, Technicians) on AtriCure Therapies
  • In addition, the position will be responsible for supporting the company's efforts to formulate and implement all training and development strategies.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:

Prepare and Execute Training : Ensure all materials and activities are aligned and executed in accordance with the larger strategic plan.

Creating Customized Internal Training Strategies

    • To create T&E strategies based on the specific needs of each geography within the APGC region
    • Internal training plans to be created based on the training gaps and needs of the commercial teams
    • Plans to be created before the start of the new financial year – training calendar to be developed that includes launch of new initiatives, new-hire / refresher trainings, Equiz & Journal Club Schedule
    • Ensuring high-quality execution of the trainings programs as per the schedule
    • Tracking attendance and feedback to all the programs
    • Evaluating the impact of programs and improving them based on the feedback
    • Plan and organize refresher trainings at least once a year for the entire team
    • Collaborate closely with the Global Sales training team on new content and topics being developed as part of the AFE training
    • Partner with Marketing for training of teams during new product launches anywhere within the region

CADet Management

    • Be responsible for tracking the Utilization of existing mini-CADets within the APGC region – ensure that CADet champions are making the entries regularly on the tracker portal
    • Deployment of new mini-CADets within the region - signing off new reps/team members on the CADets
    • Be in-charge of the upkeep of the heart models from the CADets – repair of tears/holes created during training sessions; sending the hearts beyond repair to the global team for being repaired and/or being replaced.
    • Work closely with the global team in-charge of CADets for any updates on models, new models being created, or any support needed for logistics.
    • Be proficient in setting up and trouble-shooting the MIS and Open CADets
    • Manage logistics for MIS/Open CADets being sent out for CoE programs/ training villages/conferences.
    • Track and manage inventory of devices/instruments in the CADets
    • Identify needs for procuring more CADets in the region and communicate the same with the Director of Training & Education

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Training Program Evaluation

    • Create feedback forms on MS forms for all trainings conducted
    • Analyze & document the feedback data to measure effectiveness of the Training programs and identify areas of improvement for subsequent programs
    • Work with the local teams on improving the quality of programs by sharing tangible and concrete action items
    • Assists in preparing updates and reports for senior management

Program Execution

    • Detailed planning & organization for T&E programs prior to execution
    • Ensure the branding, look and feel of the programs in the region are consistent and standardized
    • Share templates for signages, agenda, name tents/badges, certificates, banners etc
    • Support cadaver lab preparation, planning and execution, shipping and maintenance of lab kits, and other ad hoc projects when needed

A little about yourself:

  • Bachelor degree level or equivalent professional qualification and experience 
  • 5 + years Cardiovascular nursing or PA experience  
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with physicians in a professional manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%)
