Program Manager, ASL

What will you do?

Oversee specialty programs throughout the state including Driver’s Education, ASL instruction, vocational assessments and assistive technology demonstrations.

Essential Functions:

  • Travel statewide as needed.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) to build strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders and state agencies.
  • Regularly utilizes assistive technology for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Facilitate individual and group training.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee statewide specialty programs including Driver’s Education, ASL instruction, vocational assessments and assistive technology demonstrations.
  • Develop and research special program materials and create curriculum plans
  • Develop training materials for CPC group and coordinate ongoing training.
  • Effectively manage program staff, programmatic timelines and due dates.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed for reporting to DVRS.
  • Conduct outreach activities to promote specialty programs to community-based organizations and Deaf consumers.
  • Collaborate with Division of Vocational Rehabilitations Services (DVRS) and stakeholders to ensure program outcomes are met.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with regional management on shared consumers needing multiple services.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with the deaf and hard of hearing community.
  • American Sign Language (ASL) required.
  • Two (2) years of experience managing a team.
  • Experience conducting vocational assessments is helpful.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required for statewide program oversight and outreach activities.

 

Full Time Monday - Friday
