What will you do?
- Assist with the loading and unloading of persons receiving services as required. May lift persons receiving services when working in a setting which provides direct services to persons who are non-ambulant, or who are semi-ambulant, and/or have severe physical disabilities.
- Complete required forms and documentation to include mileage and maintenance logs, vehicle checks, etc.
- Make minor adjustments and repairs to vehicle assigned; change and repair tire tubes, check and replenish gasoline, oil and radiator and battery water, and keep the vehicle in clean and safe running condition and available for immediate use.
- Make periodic safety checks of the vehicle, to check the function of the brakes, condition of tires, exhaust system, drive train, suspension, lights, wipers, horn, exit doors, and other equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Possess a CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
- One year of experience as a licensed operator of motor vehicles.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the proper methods of operating the assigned vehicle.
- Effective verbal and written communication utilizing the English language.
