About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Sr. FPGA Designer position who will be responsible for creating FPGA firmware used in the next generation of Christie's products. You will be working with a team of Design Engineers and Software Engineers in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
• Carry out responsible and varied engineering assignments of moderate complexity and generally a component of a larger design project
• Make design recommendations for new or improved products, processes or techniques based on technical expertise
• Work as a team player, willing to help out in software areas as required by the team
• Keep abreast of new technology
• Ensure adherence to best business practices and procedures
• Design, test and debug digital systems that typically involve an FPGA or other programmable logic device using common lab equipment
• Design and maintain embedded firmware including Verilog HDL code and CIC++
• Use FPGA design, simulation, timing analysis and debug tools such as Altera Quartus 11/Signal Tap and Model Sim/Questa
• Assist with the hardware and firmware system architecture and specifications of next¬ generation products
• Review and understand device datasheets and other technical data of new technologies and present ideas for incorporating into next-generation products

The experience and skills we value:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is also required
• Typically, 5-7 years minimum to be fully competent
• Designed, tested and debugged digital systems that typically involve an FPGA or other programmable logic devices using common lab equipment
• Designed and maintained embedded firmware including Verilog HDL code and CIC++. Experience using FPGA design, simulation, timing analysis and debug tools such as Altera Quartus 11/Signal Tap and Model Sim/Questa

• Provide engineering expertise/design recommendations to the project or assignment
• Participates in planning and scheduling of work to achieve objectives
• Solving problems by use of a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments
