We're on the hunt for a Data Analyst I who works with staff to verify data changes, as well as data transfers. The Data Analyst I is also responsible for delivering data transfers upon request. Shows high attention to detail to ensure that data updates they verify, as well as data transfers they verify and then deliver to our clients are of the utmost quality.

As part of our team, your Key Accountabilities:

Note: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrates extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.
  • Verify SQL database contents and changes using source documentation and the database audit trail.
  • Verify data changes performed by a separate Data Analyst against Data Change Guides (DCGs) and associated risk/impact assessments.
  • Verify content of client-requested database transfer datasets per approved Data Transfer specifications.
  • Delivers client-requested database transfer datasets upon request.
  • Participates in meetings with appropriate Client Services and Technical Delivery team members as it relates to study implementation and maintenance.
  • Monitors data collected across multiple databases when required.
  • May be called upon to execute data change requests, either through backend database scripts or with the use of validated in-house Data Solution
    Tools.
  • Some data entry of data change requests may be required (Change Forms).
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for data change management, data transfer verification and risk/impact assessment documentation.
  • Technical support after-hours, on-call time may be required at set intervals.  

You’ll need to bring::-

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a data-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), as well as Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP/7 and the suite of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with standard data mining and data presentation techniques.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment with minimal direct supervision. 

We’d be thrilled to hear that you also have: 

  • Ability to create and execute SQL Queries.
  • Familiarity with SAS programming language, GCP and 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, as interaction with team members occurs daily.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines & multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.
  • Very strong skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable working with business users and technical teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence.
  • Capable of weighing risks and making decisions that align with Signant values and strategy.
  • Manage customer escalations effectively, with follow up and closure.
