Localisation Team Leader - Operations
ROLE PURPOSE
This office-based leadership role provides supervisory management of Associate Localisation Specialist, Localisation Specialists, Localisation Analysts, Translation Leads or Localisation Seniors, within the Localization organization.
Below the Team Lead, the Localisation Seniors/Translation leads are covering the planning and management of the localisation phase at study level, while the Associate Localisation Specialists/Localisation Specialists/Localisation Analysts are covering localization tasks execution, on different products.
The individual must be able to manage projects with team members and have open communication across the board with internal and external stakeholders, project team and client to deliver efficient, right first time and on time localisation related tasks.
Is accountable for successful delivery of localisation activities, to meet key project milestones, whilst adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Signant Health processes and regulatory compliance. Maintains a close working relationship with leadership counterparts to ensure key / premier client requirements are met and that processes are aligned with Signant Health best practices and consistently applied. Key participant in process improvement activities, assuring adherence within the Localisation Team.
Localisation Manager has proven record of managing teams and will be able to demonstrate experience of hiring, people management, setting and reviewing annual objectives and improving performance to obtain a high performing team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (maximum 10)
- Provide leadership in problem solving, defining the solution through to implementation
- Acts as point of escalation for delivery for resolution of issues and conflicts within the team
- Responsible for personal development of team members and performance management activities and 1:1s
- Creates an environment with good morale and a strong work ethic, minimizing staff turnover
- Ensures adherence and compliance to the company’s Quality Management System by the Localisation Team members
- Responsible for successful delivery of all Localisation activities across different products, ensure timelines are met to the required level of quality
- Support the hiring of new staff for the delivery team, ensuring staff are trained and onboarded effectively, assign mentors as required.
- Assume ownership of internal initiatives and apply original thinking and creativity towards innovation to drive change and implementation
DECISION MAKING AND INFLUENCE

2. Ensures adherence and compliance to the company’s Quality Management System by the Localisation Team members
3. Contribute to the strategy and support the implementation for process development and improvements
4. Support Associate Director/Director Localisation in strategic planning and direction
5. Flexibility to assume other duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Essential (maximum 10):
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business, IT or other relevant experience
- Must be office-based
- With at least 3 year work experience
- Experience managing teams in a project based environment is preferred, including recruitment and personnel management activities
- Should understand the software life cycle and the specification and configuration of software products
- Proven project execution track record with a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to direct activities of a team, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing company’s revenues
- Must have solid MS Office Suite experience – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Understanding and experience in the pharmaceutical industry and clinical trial process, including regulatory requirements
