Where do you fit in?

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer provides data driven solutions to customer and end user needs in clinical trials. Uses their expertise in data visualization and analytics to develop dynamic online reports for outcomes data captured in clinical trials. The scope of work covers projects in setup and maintenance. Ensures deliver of robust, high-quality data visualization and reporting solutions. Additionally, the Senior BI Developer is accountable for project deliverables in line with quality targets and SLAs while adhering to best practices, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the company’s processes, and global industry regulations. The ideal candidate possesses mid-level product knowledge and mid-level knowledge of user applications.

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Identify customer and end user needs for data visualization and reporting and create solutions in collaboration with the customer.

• Design and create dynamic online reports using SQL and Qlik Sense (BI reporting tool) for a broad range of clinical research projects.
• Support Global Technical Delivery in meeting business objectives outlined in Goals and Objectives.
• Works with the Solution team to understand the business requirements for assigned tasks and participate in client/design/review meetings as needed.
• Supports all phases of verification/testing by efficiently diagnosing and resolving defects.
• Collaborates with the Delivery Manager/Lead to keep the project on time.
• Coordinates with the other Reporting Engineers to understand design patterns, standards, customizations, and resource capacity planning.
• Understands and follows all coding standards.
• Creates robust, well-documented code.
• Completes unit testing, creates documentation, and executes peer reviews as required.
• Adheres to source control, versioning best practices, and operational process requirements when executing study configuration tasks.
• Regularly communicate status updates of assigned tasks to internal and external stakeholders.
• Requests requirements and design clarifications when necessary, recommending improvements and design solutions for functional needs.
• Willingly and openly adopts and supports iterative process improvements.
• Job performance measured individually, as it pertains to team goals aligned with corporate objectives for Global Technical Delivery, and the values of Signant Health.

You’ll need to bring:

• Good proficiency in SQL
• 2 - 3 years of experience professionally working with data, getting insights through data analysis, understanding charting focusing on data visualization and reporting.
• Ability to understand customer problems and propose solutions, experience in collaborating with customers and/or end users
• Good time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to escalate when necessary
• Ability to provide succinct and accurate feedback to the client and the teams about progress and outcomes
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks at any one time

• Proficiency in XML
• Python or related scripting language experience is a plus
• A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, programming, related degree or equivalent experience
