Job Title: Marketing Intern

 

Location: Signal Hill, CA

 

Job Summary:

As the Marketing Intern for Gregg Drilling, you’ll have a unique opportunity to develop professional and personal skills while gaining hands-on experience in marketing and content creation. You will enhance your content development abilities, compile marketing documents, and gain a thorough understanding of social media strategy. You will work closely with The Gregg Projects’ Operations and Management teams in Signal Hill and Benicia to update, expand, and refine the company’s profile and proposal support materials. Additionally, you will collaborate with the management team to create and execute targeted social media posts, particularly for LinkedIn, to enhance the company’s digital presence.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their marketing expertise, build a portfolio of impactful content, and contribute to the branding efforts of a dynamic organization.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all marketing documents are accurate, professional, and aligned with the company’s branding guidelines.
  • Schedule and monitor social media activity, analyzing engagement metrics to assess performance.
  • Assist in brainstorming and executing campaigns to improve the company’s digital presence.
  • Develop an understanding of best practices in social media strategy and marketing documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Covid-19 Vaccination

 

Education and Experience:

  • Must be age 18 at time of hire
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Knowledge of science or engineering would be of benefit
  • At least a 2.5 GPA
  • Strong critical thinking and research skills
  • Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
