Accountant

Description / Scope / Mission

The Accountant will contribute to efficient and effective processing in the Finance department by executing daily tasks with strong attention to detail.  The role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure team success.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

• Accounts Receivable, including processing payments, producing statement of accounts, collections on overdue accounts and account reconciliation when required. Customer maintenance and credit limit monitoring in SAP
• Customer invoice creation and distribution when required
• Processing bank deposits. All associated finance entries  
• Fixed Assets, including setting up new asset IDs, reconciliation and in-service, running depreciation, and physical inventory of assets as needed
• Assisting with month-end and year-end tasks and audits
• Reception and Administrative support
• Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, following up with vendors and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with Special projects as required

Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum of a two-year college degree in accounting; or four-year Bachelors of Science degree.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Detail oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
• Strong MS Office skills
• Effective time management skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to favorably represent the Company image to customers

Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organizational and Interpersonal)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The position will require standing or walking up to 1/3 of the time and sitting up to 2/3 of the time. 

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED:

Require use of computer monitor, keyboard and mouse 2/3 of the time.  Copier, fax and telephone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED:

There will be a normal office noise level.  The position will require the use of safety glasses if working with personnel in the factory.
