Title: Operations Line Leader
Reports to: Supervisor –Operations, Assistant Supervisor- Operations
Department: Operations
Basic Function:
Support the Department Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor through absolute leadership and accountability of assigned team(s) and driving the facilitation of a culture of safety, quality and efficiency for the assigned line(s) by utilizing team huddles, quality and performance indicators and open avenues of communication.
Responsibilities:
1.Arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to shift start.
2.Ensures line starts on time at the correct speed with the required equipment, components, bulk and number of employees.
3.Is familiar with all machinery and equipment for assigned area and makes minor adjustments to the extent for which they are trained.
4.Provide temporary coverage by performing the responsibilities of an Assembly I, II or III, as needed in assigned area.
5.Performs any other task as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor.
6.Performs quality checks on the assembly line to ensure quality requirements are met.
7.Oversees assembly activities, ensuring timely start-up, correct product, proper quantity, and quality performance.
8.Ensures adherence to 5S, including white boards and action registers.
9.Ensures the continuous supply of materials, components, labels, staff and other supplies/ resources, required to maintain assembly operations.
10.Supports Department Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor with administrative activities (i.e., waste/salvage reports, GMP start-up sheets, and end data entries).
11.Follows all requirements for good housekeeping of assigned area(s).
12.Maintains a strong customer focus throughout the assembly process.
13.Provides appropriate information to subsequent shift to ensure quality standards and production efficiency.
14.Demonstrates ownership of the assigned work area(s) through personal accountability for all aspects of the work area(s), both positive and negative.
15.Ensures effective communication occurs among all team members associated to the assigned area(s).
Qualifications:
1.General learning ability to carry out related duties at customer and kdc/one’s quality and quantity standards.
2.Excellent visual inspection to identify any defects on the line.
3.Satisfactory clerical ability needed to accurately record necessary data.
4.Excellent eye-hand coordination, finger and manual dexterity needed.
5.Must have ability to read, write and comprehend operating procedures.
6.Must be able to communicate in English
7.Competent in mathematics.
8.Has previous experience and understands relevant aspects of assembly operations.
9.Thorough knowledge of production, cGMP, safety, environmental, quality and HR procedures.
10.Basic computer skills – Entering and printing data.
