Compensation:

  • Base: $115,000 - $145,000
  • Bonus: 20% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus):  The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $115,000 - $184,150 per year

 

 

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming complex data into meaningful insights through dynamic dashboards, reports, and visualizations. The Senior Power BI Developer will leverage deep expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and ETL processes to deliver high-performance, scalable BI solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to driving data-driven decisions and business outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data visualization best practices and performance optimization.
  • Create and manage data models to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Perform complex data transformations using Power Query and DAX.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., SQL databases, APIs, Excel files) into Power BI for analysis and reporting.
  • Responsible for designing, building, and testing enterprise business intelligence and data warehousing solutions utilizing Azure SQL Database, and the Azure Synapse analytics 
  • Responsible for developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards
  • Responsible for Power BI development and site administration
  • Work closely with business users, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and provide actionable insights.
  • Responsible for working with offsite and offshore team members and manage their deliverables
  • Leads, mentors, and supervises all Business Intelligence, Analytics Application development staff. 
  • Ensure the right information is identified at the right time and at the appropriate level for reporting purposes
  • Provide training and support to users on how to access and utilize Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.
  • Manages all aspects of Enterprise Reporting, Business Intelligence, Data Integration and CRM development throughout the enterprise.
  • Evaluates the existing landscape and underlying data layers to provide architectural recommendations to meet business requirements.
  • Manage activities to improve efficiency, stability, security, and optimization of FBM’s Information Technology environment.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Ensures that his/her skills are up to date on the latest tools, techniques, and knowledge and that the knowledge is shared among other Business Analysts and Developers.
  • Willing to learn and work on FBM’s technology stack

 

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in Power BI development, with a strong understanding of data visualization and reporting concepts.
  • Azure skills highly preferred, including Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Analysis Services, etc.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Report Server.
  • Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Hands-on experience working at a high level in Data architecture, Data integration, Data science, Master Data Management, and similar analytical workloads.
  • Strong practical knowledge of traditional and agile SDLC methodologies required
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, managing, and tuning very large databases in SQL Server is required
  • Proficient in the use of SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SQL and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and client handling skills and ready to work in offshore-onsite mode
  • Successful team management experience
  • Ability to operate calmly in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong design, analytic and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Power BI certification or other relevant data analytics certifications.
  • Experience with Other Tools: Familiarity with Power BI and other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView) and data visualization best practices.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
