Compensation:

  • Base: $27.50 - $32.50 per hour
  • Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus):  The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $62,500 - $80,000 per year
  • Equity:  This role is not eligible for equity opportunities / awards.

 

Position Overview

The Human Resources Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while supporting the organization’s commitment to operational excellence. This role focuses on monitoring and reporting compliance metrics, conducting internal audits, and analyzing data to identify and address compliance gaps.  The Specialist will manage and maintain documentation, support third-party and government reviews, and assist with department initiatives and projects.  By implementing effective systems and procedures, the HR Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in fostering a culture of accountability, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting the company’s overall goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring and Reporting
  • Review, track, and document meal period violations/penalties.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to evaluate adherence to policies and procedures, identify areas of improvement, and document findings.
  • Analyze data and reports to identify compliance gaps related to operational processes.
  • Perform periodic audits on projects to ensure compliance.
  1. Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in third-party/government reviews, audits, and inquiries, working in conjunction with the appropriate departments and management.
  1. Data Management and Documentation
  • Maintain and prepare files, records, documents and reports as requested.
  • Compile information requested for exams, audits and testing.
  • Prepare compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal/external information.
  1. Administrative and Project Support
  • Provide administrative support by implementing systems, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Assist with department initiatives, diligence efforts, and other projects as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong technical skills, especially with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and software; Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Attention to detail to identify potential compliance issues.
