The Position:
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will coordinate, and drive recruitment related activities for all North American facilities. With a focus on recruitment related activities, the incumbent will work with all personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs
- Builds North American applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information and opportunities
- Complete recruitment reports and metrics as required on a regular basis
- Develop job postings from existing job descriptions
- Host and/or attend job and career fairs to meet potential candidates
- Develop relationship with post-secondary institutions for recruitment purposes
- Work with departmental hiring budgets to develop annual recruitment strategy
- Develop candidate screening tools such as interview questionnaires and subject matter tests where relevant
- Train individual managers on recruitment and interview techniques
- Drive recruitment activity, including job postings, screening and sorting new applications, reference checking, drafting employment agreements and coordinating interviews and assessments
- Contribute to the development of policies and best practices for HR programs and services, conducting research, gathering information and expertise from relevant sources and providing comprehensive reports and recommendations
- Contribute to and execute HR strategies and initiatives as they relate to organizational strategic priorities
- Provide support for projects and initiatives as directed by HR Manager
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines
What We’re Looking For:
- Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, or Business Administration
- 3-5 years' experience recruiting for Engineering, Trades or related technical fields
- Experience working within a manufacturing setting considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision
- Experience with an ATS system is preferred
- Advanced computer skills in Excel
- Team player and able to coordinate activities with other departments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
