See applied probabilities come to life as your work plays out on the casino floor. Casino gaming is more exciting than ever, with many games looking like action-packed video games.  As a Senior Math Analyst, you’ll get a hands-on preview of these exciting new casino games before they hit the market. 

 

Working closely with the engineering team and our customers, the Senior Math Analyst can perform mathematical testing while managing projects and leading/supporting other analysts. A Senior Math Analyst at GLI is committed to learning the business of mathematical testing of casino games while being fully capable of conducting the testing themselves. This position is an opportunity for an advanced graduate-degree or experienced professional with a math/computer science background in probability, statistics and object-oriented programming. Such skills must also be combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high attention to detail environment, and over-see multiple projects from inception to completion. It is essential to possess the ability to understand technical concepts and explain them to non-technical people and enjoy doing so.

 

Experience in casino game math analysis, strategy game analysis (table games), and/or random number generator (RNG) analysis will be viewed favorably.

The Senior Math Analyst’s main focus will be on the following:

  • Takes a lead role on complex or unusual projects, including coordinating testing.
  • Fully execute table game or random number generator projects while managing budget and target date, assign tasks as needed.
  • Conducts technical reviews of table game or random number generator projects.
  • Coaches, mentors, and trains analysts in table game analysis or random number generator testing.
  • Manage projects to highest quality, on-time and on-budget.
  • Communicates technical and regulatory concepts with internal and external customers.
  • Interfaces with sales and customers with project start-ups.

 

Experience, Education, Skills, and Credentials:

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline
  • (or) Must have at least three (3) years of experience mathematically analyzing casino games.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of Probability, Statistics, and Combinatorics.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of C++, Java, or other equivalent programming language(s), including the appropriate use of object-oriented design.
  • Must have an understanding of core programming concepts and techniques
  • The Senior Math Analyst must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to train, coach, and mentor Math Analysts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required
  • Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of the team and external contacts
  • Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines is required
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation

Location: This is an in-person, full-time position based out of our Lakewood, NJ office.

Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000K annually 

Travel: Minimal to no travel is expected for this position.
